Free Lesson Plan Template

This lesson plan template also comes in a typable version. You can find that here.

In the typable version, you can type in Microsoft Word without the formatting jumping around. The boxes will automatically expand down to accommodate more lines as needed while the rest of the lesson plan template remains fixed.

For both versions, this free one and the typable version, a full-color format and a more print-friendly format are included.


Sections include:

• Class/Date/Unit/Lesson
• Standard(s)
• Materials
• Launch (Also known as Hook or Anticipatory Set)
• Learning and Practice Activities
• Concluding Activity or Assessment


The final three sections (the procedure portion of the lesson plan) include optional boxes to note estimated time.
